I first became interested in this book upon learning that Signe Johansen (of Scandilicious fame and one of my first and favorite Scandinavian cookbook authors), attended this London school. Then I learned that Yotam Ottolenghi (of Jerusalem, etc., fame and also one of my favorite cookbook authors), teaches at the school. I also read a highly complimentary review of this book by Ottolenghi, who is quoted on the book's front cover. I consider it quite expensive, but a worthwhile text for learning well, improved classic culinary techniques and recipes. The photos are exceptional, the next best thing to enrollment as a student chef. I cannot recommend this book highly enough as an exquisite learning opportunity as well as a pleasure to read!
